America's Independent Party nominates Brian Rohrbough for Vice-President

In the closing session of its founding national convention last night, America's Independent Party nominated Brian Rohrbough of Colorado for Vice-President of the United States. Last week, AIP nominated Dr. Alan Keyes of Maryland for President.

Brian Rohrbough is the President of American Right to Life, an organization that is dedicated to ending abortion by recognizing the God-given right to life and establishing the personhood of every human being from the moment of fertilization.

Brian became active in the pro-life movement after his son Daniel was murdered at Columbine High School. Brian led efforts to get to the bottom of what happened at Columbine, finding an undeniable link to our nation's “culture of death."

Brian has been a guest on many national and local television and radio shows including The O’Reilly Factor, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, CNN, NBC, ABC, and the CBS Evening News. He has been quoted extensively in newspapers throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Rohrbough is a small business owner and serves in his position with American Right to Life without financial compensation.

Brian is married to Lisa and they have two children, Rachael, who is 7, and Isaac, who is 6. Both are home schooled. The family attends Calvary South Denver Church.

Amen marchingon.

He is a truly great man whom I admire very, very much. His acceptance speech last night moved and affected me powerfully. He's not the powerful communicator that Dr. Keyes is - and he'll be the first to tell you that - but his humility and deep wisdom about what is important to us as individuals and as a nation is striking.

This is definitely a bold move back to government of the people, by the people and for the people. We've had enough arrogant politicians. Like the rest of us, Brian Rohrbough is a real "community organizer". I couldn't be more pleased with his nomination.

I couldn't be more pleased either. This is a man whose leadership I can gladly follow.

Brian is the prime example of words into action. I believe that he will push this party on to victory by his previous commitment. . And will bring the respect for persons to front and center.

Amen.

Just as a note of clarification, is the Calvary South Denver Church an affiliate of Calvary Chapel?

Just curious.

This is from the website of Calvary South Denver Church

We are non-denominational church. We are not opposed to denominations as such, only to the over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.

Awesome.

Yes, they are non-denominational.

Instead, they are what some folks call an "affiliate" of Calvary Chapel.

And this news is particularly meaningful for me, since my home church also happens to be a Calvary Chapel affiliate.

:-)

That's great!

I've visited Calvary Chapels a number of times, and it was always a blessing.

Radio Interview of Brian Rohrbough
The American View
December 15, 2006

On our 88th “The American View” we interview 100 percent pro-life, no exceptions, Brian Rohrbaugh who’s been elected head of the Colorado Right To Life Committee. Why he even talks openly, explicitly and unashamedly about “God’s Law”! We also discuss such egregious compromisers as Steve Ertelt and the “National Right To Life Committee’s” Doug Johnson. Did you know that over the years the “NRTLC” has received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Republican Party? And we discuss a new revelation re: the “Constitution Party’s” continuing de-Christianization.
